Hi ya'll!
Been off for of here for a couple days.. But i baaack:)
Today was our first day to go to the gym. One of my biggest wishes has always been to be able to run. We are doing the couch to 5K workout to help get us where we can run. Today was a 5 minute warm up then alternate running 1 minute and walking 1.5 minutes 6 times. I'll admit it was hard, but we did it! We were both dripping sweat when we were done. Tomorrow we will add weights to our routine, i will let you know how it goes!
For dinner i made some baked pork chops with a little ranch dressing powder and panko bread crumbs sprinkled on top. We also had broccoli and red potatoes. It was a yummy dinner! Tomorrow i am spending the day in my classroom, so we are going to have slow cooker salsa chicken. Ill let yall know how it tastes!

First Day at The Gym
Today we started at the gym. I wasn't to excited about changing from P90X, but whatever. As long as we are doing something. Anything is better than sitting on the couch right?
We decided to do the "Couch to 5K" program. Basically, its a training program that is supposed to have you able to go from not running at all, to being able to run a 5K in 8 weeks. It has us doing the workout three days a week, every other day. I think we are going to try to do it every day, and just see what happens. Now the challenge comes in finding a weight routine that works for me, and one for Annalysa. I'm not too big on all the machines, I would much rather use free weights. We went to the gym today unprepared, so we did our Couch to 5K, some push ups, sit ups and headed to the house.
I've got to say, in the 23 minutes it took us to complete it, my shirt was more drenched in sweat than any of the P90X workouts.
Tonight for dinner we had Baked Ranch Pork Chops. Annalysa just kinda made it up, and it was really good. She put spicy ranch seasoning on the pork chops and then a little Panko on top of that and baked it. I think we will do that one again.
Anyways, now its time for me to hit Google and find a workout that will work for each of us.
Till tomorrow,
Kaleb.

Change of plans
Hey ya'll
This is our second week of P90X. We have been doing our workouts every night after Kara is in bed and with the baby in the bouncer in the living room. Today was the day it became time to face reality. When school starts back up and we get back into the busy routine that is our lives i KNOW we will not be able to continue working out so late. We have been finishing around 9:30 or 10:00. Then its showers, blog, clean kitchen, prepare bottles for the night, pack lunch for the next day, go to bed around 11:00, wake up to feed baby around 2:00. back to sleep around 2:45, get up around 6:00am when the kids get up, and repeat. And once school gets started I will also have to throw in making my lunch, packing the kids a diaper bag, getting them up and ready, and getting myself ready for work to leave the house by 6:30. The last thing i want to do is give up! So with much deliberation between the hubby and i.. Here is the new plan:
We went and got a gym membership at Firehouse Gym here in town. The plan is to go every early evening Mon-Fri and work out while the kids stay in the little day care. Then be home by 6 or 6:30 to start our nightly routine (dinner, play, baths, prayers, story, bed, prepare for next day). We have been looking around on line for different fitness routines for us to do while at the gym. We will continue to blog every day about what kind of workout we did and about what we eat. The blog is an important thing to keep us motivated!
Kaleb is not to excited about quitting P90X, but i think he agrees that the way we are doing right now will not work for very long. And the overall goal is to lose weight and get healthy long term.I think he fears the gym because he thinks it will be easy to get in a rut and just not go. I hope i can keep him motivated because he is my team mate in this thing and i need him!
Anyway, just wanted to update yall on how our plans have changed.. Keep rooting for us:)
Talk to ya tomorrow!

Day 8: Mommy's View
Hey ya'll!
Today has been a great day! I started my day with some oatmeal with fruit and got busy cleaning my messy kitchen. Sometimes you just have to get a scrubber and REALLY clean the kitchen. Haha not saying it happens much in our house (dont tell my grandma) but it does happen sometimes! Little Jax is four weeks old today! I also had a four week check up with the mommy doc today to. All systems a go;).
For lunch i made Kara and i a grilled chicken sandwich. I am glad i took the time to grill up some chicken breasts this weekend. It has made making lunches so easy. For snack today i had a greek yogurt and then in the afternoon i had some cottage cheese and peach. I continued to snack on baby carrots if i was having the urge to snack. My goal is to keep trying to stay busy so that i don't think about snacks:)
For dinner we had the biggest loser "broke bean stew". It was SO good and cheap! (we like cheap!)
Tonights workout was chest and back. Kaleb dominates this workout. As for me?.... I can barely do girl push ups so this one is really tough for me. Its hard to not get discouraged when i cant do all the reps i need to. But i WILL get better. Just a weakling right now. The guy on the P90x video says "do your best and forget the rest". I like that idea.
Anyway, tomorrow is Friday which, during the summer, is usually a day off for Kaleb. But he has to work! Ugh:(
My goals for tomorrow are to remain positive and proactive.. Lets see how i do:)
Have a great night!

Day 8: Chest and Back
Round 2. Today started our second week of P90X, so all of the workouts that we have done so far repeat themselves. Today was chest and back. I did A TON better, I was able to do almost all of the push-ups without resorting to the "girl kind." Guess that means I'm making progress. I can feel my arms and chest hurting a lot more than they did last time, so maybe next week I will be able to up my reps some more. Then comes abs. Every time that we do this ab workout (today makes 4 times) I can tell that we are being able to do more and more. Before too long, we may just be getting the whole thing done.
Tonight for dinner we had Broke Bean Stew from the Biggest Loser Recipes website. It was really tasty, really filling, and I'm sure that we will be having it again. It was really cheap to make, which is also a plus. Diet food can be so expensive, so this recipe was definitely a win.
Hope everyone has a great night,
Kaleb.

Day 7: Mommy's View
Hey ya'll!
Today has been a pretty good day. I am finally starting to feel "skinnier". Its amazing how good you feel when you are eating healthy and exercising regularly. FOr breakfast i had some oatmeal with some fresh cut up apples and some dried cranberries. It was yummy! I've decided my first weight goal is going to be to lose 24 pounds. That will put me under 200 and make me one happy gal:) My biggest issue with eating healthy and being home all day is SNACKING. Its not that im bored (believe me i have plenty to do), I just find myself thinking all day about what snack i should have next. Today i tried to curb my snacking by eating one or two baby carrots every time i wanted a snack. Im glad we dont have any cookies or junk food around here. I think it will get easier for me once school starts because i will be busy teaching during the day and wont have time to think of food (hopefully). Anyone have any good tips on helping with the urge to snack?
For lunch the kids and I ate with Mammy at Chili's. I had the Margarita Grilled Chicken. It was really good!
For dinner i baked some cod with lemon, cilantro, and garlic. I served it with quinoa and asparagus. It was a light meal and i was hungry for a snack (of course) not to long after we ate. Today for our P90X workout you had the option of resting or doing a stretch video. And the fact that i already have bottles made for the night, Kaleb's lunch in the fridge for tomorrow, dishes from dinner are in the dishwasher, and Kaleb and Jax are passed out on the couch.. is making me think we chose the "rest" option:). I hate that Kaleb has to work long days outside on these HOT summer days. I'll be happy for him when school starts and he gets to go back to his regular off-at-two-thirty schedule.
Maybe tomorrow wont be so hot? (a girl can dream right?)
Anyway, thats all i have for today! Hope everyone has a great night!

Day 6 Mommy's View
Hey Yall! Did you miss me? We have certainly missed home! We have been gone the past couple days moving my not-so-baby sister out of her apartment in hot, humid, Huntsville Texas. She will be moving into a furnished one in mid-August so she needed her big sisters help (well really her big strong brother in laws help haha). Anyway, I am very proud to say that we did really well with our eating while we were gone. We even stopped at Buccee's and didn't get any homemade fudge, cinnamon rolls, candied nuts, or cookies. We opted for some dehydrated apple rings for snacking and a Buccee the Beaver doll for Kara. We miss the kids so much when we are gone! We also didn't do our workout because, lets face it, moving in a thousand degrees is enough of a workout to kill you all by itself! But anyway, she moved, we got home yesterday evening, and today it was back to business!
For breakfast this morning, since Kaleb was off today, I made a piece of toast topped with mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, crumbled turkey sausage, an over easy egg (no butter or oil), and fresh pico. It was mighty tasty:) After that we had to run by my school to pick up my new IPAD (yay!) and take some measurements for some honey-do projects I have for Kaleb in my classroom. Yes, it is that time of year. I have to have my classroom ready in three short weeks! Ahhhhh!!!!! Anyway, after that we hit Walmart for some grocery shopping, which was hilarious with two cart-riding kids! Jax was packed in the basket like a little sardine with food all around his car seat! Next time we are going to opt for two carts, or a babysitter:)
While we were at Walmart we picked up a large pack of chicken breasts. I grilled them all up and stck them in the fridge to use to make lunches for the week. For lunch today I made a grilled chicken wrap. Inside i put grilled chicken (duh), apple slices, grapes, cilantro, tomato, baby spinach, and low fat ranch. I also used 96% fat free tortillas. They were AMAZING! I will certainly make them again.
For dinner we had turkey stuffed peppers from the biggest loser website. It was the first recipe that we have made from that site that we didn't like at all. :( Better luck tomorrow:)
Tonight our workout was Kempo X. It had a lot of punching and kicking. I loved it! It was certainly my favorite one yet. I cant wait for next Monday when we do it again!
Overall today was a great day! It was nice to sit at home in the afternoon and cuddle our babies that we missed while we were gone. Kara is getting so big and grown up and Jax, well, he still mostly sleeps! Tomorrow Kaleb has to work, and Im taking the kids to see their PaPa and Jen Jen who are back home after a few weeks of trucking. They cant wait!
Have a good night!
-Annalysa
Day 6. Kenpo X
Alright, we didn't quit our P90X or our blog lol. We haven't done the past two days because we have been in a hotel room in Huntsville, Texas moving the sister-in-law back from college. Believe you me, moving in 110 degree Texas heat will give more of a workout than P90X ever did. So we picked up where we left off, Kenpo X. Let me say, best workout so far. I loved every second of it, it was all Martial Arts based, so it was very fast paced and made the time fly by. I've never felt as good after a workout as I do after this one. My shirt is soaked with sweat and I need a shower. I'm sure Annalysa could vouch for me on that one.
Tonight for dinner we had Stuffed Bell Peppers from the Biggest Loser Recipes website. They sucked. So I'm not even going to bother posting the link to the recipe. Don't waste your time. I didn't hardly eat dinner, so Annalysa made me a smoothie with some protein powder in it, I'm sure that will tide me over until breakfast at five a.m. Y'all have a good night.

Day 5: Mommy's View
I am so glad to hear from people that are reading the blog:) Lots of people have sent their encouraging words our way and we are so thankful! The support of our friends and family is one thing that is going to help keep us going even during tough days. Thanks again!
After such a rough day yesterday (eating wise), i was determined to make today a GREAT day. And guess what? It WAS a great day:) For breakfast we had turkey sausage, eggs, and toast. I busied myself most of the day between the kiddos and cleaning the house. I sometimes wonder if there is a mom in this universe who has a tidy house. Is this really possible? If it is i have not found the secret to keeping up with it all! I seriously think i could vaccum three times a day between Kara and the dogs!
I did really well with snacking today. I shared a peach and a pear with Kara before lunch and i also munched on baby carrots throughout the day when i would get the munchies for something. For lunch i cut a leftover grilled chicken breast in half and made grilled chicken sandwiches out of it. For dinner we made Grilled Chicken Nachos from the biggest loser website (link is in Kaleb's post). I made some fresh pico to go on top of them.. They were really good! We will certainly make them again. However, next time i will add some fat free sour cream and i will go lighter on the salt because the cheese sauce is real salty tasting.
I love Saturdays because there is always some family cuddle time, usually in mommy and daddy's "big ol' bed", but today it was on the couch when Kara woke up from her nap. Kaleb has baby brother asleep on his chest as we all cuddled up and watched the Olympics. I am so thankful for my husband and my two babies. It is days like these where you can take a deep breath and just see how much you have to thank God for. Thank you God!
Our workout tonight was legs back. My legs may not function in the morning! Which is unfortunate because tomorrow we are heading to Huntsville to help my sister move apartments. But, sore means that it is working, right? P.S. "wall sits" suck! :)
Haha thought I would share this pic of my little "helper" who fell into the laundry basket as i was folding clothes:)

Day 5. Legs and Back
Yesterday, we really blew it. If you read Annalysa's post you will see the details. Anyway, new day, can't change the past.
Today is Day 5: Legs and Back. The workout was pretty intense, but it was a good one. Lots of squats, lunges, calf raises and they say in the video 120 total pull-ups. I enjoyed it, and for sure this video created the most sweat. All this, then its Ab day. I think we did pretty well, we both found ourselves actually finishing the 25 reps of a few of the exercises. Tomorrow is Kenpo X, I've done that once before, and I'm not looking forward to it.
Tonight for dinner we had Grilled Chicken Nachos from the Biggest Loser Recipes website. They were excellent. They didn't taste like a diet meal at all. I would eat those things all the time!
Tomorrow, Church then we hit the road for Huntsville.

Friday Fail
Hi guys! I have good news and I have bad news.. Lets start with the good news:) We had a ton of fun on our big-sister-only day with Kara. We took her to an indoor safari play place in Plano and then treated her to lunch at Chick-Fil-A. It was so nice to watch her play and run and not feel like she was competing for attention:)
When we started this whole thing we had the idea to make Fridays our "free day" because we usually always go out (the kids stay at Mammy's every Friday). Well, we started our day by being really healthy for a "free day"by having skinny vanilla lattes and a breakfast sandwich. At Chick-Fil-A i ordered a combo with a grilled chicken wrap and waffle fries. Kaleb got a grilled chicken sandwich and ordered fruit as his side, which inspired me to not eat my fries! I didnt even touch ONE fry!!! If you know me, you know that is a BIG deal because i love fries! We headed home feeling successful and happy (and a little tired from running around with Kara).
Now the bad news... dun dun dun...
For date night we went to one of our favorite places, BJ's Brewhouse. After not having a soda all week i was excited to have some of their great draft cream soda, and Kaleb was excited to have a beer with his dinner. Since it was "free day" I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and Kaleb ordered and some crusted chicken with butter sauce. We also ordered avocado egg rolls (yum) as an appetizer. By the time we finished our meals we both already felt bad. We felt full, sluggish, and kind of like barfing. Immediate regret. I almost fell asleep on the way home from the restaurant! We had plans of doing our workout when we got home, but we were so tired that we just laid on the couch and stared at each other. After some TV watching we went to bed. No workout! Fail. Fail. Fail.
We woke up this morning vowing to NEVER do that again. We feel so much better when we eat healthier, and we wont reach our goal missing workouts. We are still keeping the "free friday", but, we wont ever go all out like that again. No more soda, unhealthy appetizer, greasy burger, AND plate of fries all in one sitting for me!
Today we are back track. We had eggs, toast, and turkey sausage for breakfast. I already feel better! Kaleb is out golfing, baby brother is sleeping, Kara is watching Bubble Guppies, and I am having coffee before a nice house cleaning adventure:)
We will post tonight after our workout!
I hope everyone has a GREAT Saturday!

Day Four: Mommy's View
So far i love doing the blog! As you can already tell, I'm not just blogging to talk about my workouts and diet, i am doing this to give everyone a glimpse into my day to day struggles and successes with my weight loss journey. I hope everyone is enjoying reading so far:)
My morning started at 2 am. I heard a ruckus in the living room and of course i went to check it out. To my shock and complete enragement, the dogs had knocked over the trash can and proceeded to drag trash all throughout the house as they snacked on it! Needless to say.. they spent the rest of the night outside with the scary thunder! Thankfully sweet Mr. Kaleb picked up all the trash:) At around 9:00 I met my MIL at IHOP for breakfast with the kids and Aunt Brenda. Kara looked so very sweet with her pigtails and big smile that i almost forgot how rough of a day we had the day before. Almost:). I was very proud of myself at breakfast, i ordered the harvest nut and grain pancakes and i used sugar free syrup. It was really yummy!
After breakfast we hung out at Mammy's for a while and then came home to a very messy house. Kara was in a sweet mood all day. I lOVE it when she is in a good mood. Makes mommy's day go much smoother. She helped me unload and load the dishwasher. I wonder if she will still think it is so much fun when she is twelve?? I let her watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while i prepared dinner (it needed to be served cold so i had to cook it ahead of time). For lunch i had some greek yogurt and fruit (which i have grown to love).
Kaleb got home and definitely looked tired. I guess the long summer days and going to bed so late are catching up with him. He actually laid on the floor and fell asleep! I did feel sorry for him, but part of me certainly wanted to pour cold water on him out of jealousy:) That man can sleep through ANYTHING! Be it a tornado, a screaming baby, earthquake, break in, or anything else. I wake up if the house creeks or the toilet is running!
Dinner was a success! Thai lettuce wraps from the biggest loser website (Kaleb posted the link).
The only downfall is that you have to do so much prep ahead of time. May not work so well once school starts and i have to go back to my day job!
All day i was super excited about doing the yoga workout... and then we started... and only made it through about 1/3 of it! The moves those people can do are crazy! I feel kinda like we failed on the workout front tonight but tomorrow is a new day! I cannot let myself get discouraged!
Tomorrow is Friday and we are taking our sweet girly girl on a date all by herself. I think she is need of some undivided attention from her mommy and daddy. Then she will spend the night at Mammy's. We have date night every Friday night. I so look forward to it every week. Sometimes we go out and sometimes we stay in, but either way we make sure that we get the quality time that is needed to keep us close, connected, and feeling like grown ups. I am so thankful that Mammy and Bump live so close and love keeping the kids on Friday night. I am also thankful that i have a husband, who after five years of marriage, gets as excited for date night as i do:) Since we are trying to make lifestyle changes, and not just "dieting", we decided that we would eat what we want on Friday nights. I mean not go crazy or anything but have a burger or a beer if we want one!
My goals for tomorrow are to enjoy the day with my sweet Kara, enjoy the evening with my sweet hubby, and drink lots of water!
Oh and P.S..... i did MUCH better with snacking today:)

Day 4. Yoga X
Day 4. Today was Yoga X. 93 minutes of yoga that tore me up. We made it a third of the way through the video. I don't know how these people are doing it. Plank this, downward dog that. I'm not gonna lie, I don't like it. Probably mostly because I can't do the majority of it. Maybe next week we can make it half way. I don't even want to think about it, lol.
For dinner we had Thai Turkey Lettuce Wraps, from www.biggest-loser-recipes.com. They were really good. They were really light, they were for sure lighter than that reuben we had yesterday.
I don't really have too much to say tonight, time to let Annalysa blog it up

Day Three: Mommy's View
Today was a whirlwind of a day. My legs are so sore from yesterdays workout! It was one of those "terrible two" days with Kara. Im sure the poor girl feels like she has been demoted in her new big sister role, but unfortunately, a tired momma is not a very patient momma. She ended up shedding tons of tears over having to pick up her messes, and having one whole time out (which is life shattering for her). And when she wasn't throwing a fit, she was going 100 mph! Daddy and I are thinking about taking her on a play date during the day on Friday to give her some special time without Baby Jax. We are trying to balance our understanding of how she must be feeling with our need to teach her the right way to act (not stomping feet and throwing fits ect.). As frustrating as it can be... I LOVE that sweet girl and her smiles:) Mammy and Bump came over this evening and took her home with them for a last minute slumber party to give me a little extra sleep in the morning. I am really thankful that they live just down the street, they have been lifesavers many times!
I feel like i snacked a lot today (stress probably haha). I didn't eat anything bad but, I felt like every time I turned around I had the fridge open and was looking for something to eat. I also didn't drink near enough today. Adding that to my goal list for tomorrow.
Kaleb cooked dinner tonight and ill admit i was a bit apprehensive. I have never had a reuben and i just don't like the way saurkraut smells! BUT I actually ended up loving the sandwich! Kaleb posted the link to the recipe in his post if you are interested.
Todays workout was my favorite! Probably because there was no cardio:) It was shoulders and arms and all weights. Im sure my arms will be sore tomorrow! We also were able to do a lto more of the ab workout tonight, im SO proud of us. Its only day three and Im already seeing progress in what we can do!
My goals for tomorrow are
#1 Drink more water
#2 Be more patient with the kiddos
#3 Stop snacking so dang much!
HaHa thought i would give you a tiny glimpse of my day.. this is her "I'm Craaaazzzzzzyyyy" face. Mommy agrees:)
Have a good night!

Day 3 Shoulders and Arms
P90X Day 3. Shoulders and Arms. So far my favorite workout, it is mostly resistance and if feels like you are really getting some work done, most of the exercises are normal things that you would do in a gym. There are quite a few versions of curls and shoulder presses. I think the workout went really well, we were both able to do the whole workout, which is nice considering how much of a beating Plyo X was. Then comes Ab Ripper X again. I can't believe it, but I think we were able to pull off about 50% of the ab routine. Day 1 we didn't stand a chance. I'm really proud of us. Tomorrow is Yoga X. That might be interesting. Oh well, its gotta be done, no point in complaining about it.
Tonights dinner was probably my favorite. Again, we cooked from www.biggest-loser-recipes.com. We had a reuben sandwich with some oven roasted potatoes with dill and garlic. Delicious.
Here's the recipe for the sandwich.
I read a thing online today.
"Would you rather spend 1 hour a day working out, or 24 hours a day being a fat ass?"
Haha, I love it!
Time to hit the shower.

Day Two: Mommy's View
Ok, I have to admit that I did NOT think it was going to be a good day today.. Baby Jax was up about every hour last night and just when i was good and asleep this morning I heard "Maaaaaamaaaaa! Where are yooooou? I have to peeepeeee" coming from our sweet Kara's room. Let's just say I looked like and felt like a zombie! The good news is, that once I got up and had a nice glass of water and some Special K cereal I felt much more energized. I even almost achieved my goal of a clean house and laundry done (we all know that with a toddler, a three week old, two dogs, and a semi-stinky husband this goal is somewhat unattainable anyway). For lunch Kara and i had left overs from last night, and i must say, it tasted even better than it did last night.
Our evening went much smoother. I chalk it up to one word; TEAMWORK. God has blessed me with the most awesome husband who is seriously the best team-mate i could have asked for. While i cooked dinner (which was a really yummy stir fry) he fed Jax and read to Kara. Then we divided and conquered on baths. Then it was Kara's favorite book, go potty, say prayers, and in bed by 7:30. Not even one tear or whimper! Whew! Jax slept along with our dogs as we did day two of P90X. It was HARD today. Im still pretty weak from having a baby a few weeks ago so the squats were killer, but I made it through. I may be to sore to get out of bed in the morning... If so i will need an all day babysitter/house keeper:)
I am so proud of us for doing what we have to do to make this work. Please pray for us to keep up the motivation and focus needed to achieve our goal. Call us out if you notice we skip a day or see us getting weary!!
Have a great night!

Day 2 PlyoX
Day 2. Pretty sore from yesterday, but sore means something is working, right? Now its time for Plyo X. I remember doing plyo days in high school. I was fat, and it sucked. Guess what, I'm still fat and it still sucked. But, I made I made it through, so its not impossible. Jumps, squats, lunges, it was a good time. Eating went well today, cottage cheese and pineapple for breakfast, leftover Chicken Cordon Bleu from last nights dinner, and pork stir fry tonight. Dinner, again came from www.biggest-loser-recipes.com.
Here's the recipe.
Pork Stir Fry
I've gotta say, having Annalysa do this with me, makes it that much better. Whenever I'm ready to quit, she reminds me "Only 15 more seconds!" Anyone can do something for 15 more seconds. She makes me want to finish out our reps, and really get something out of this.
Our dogs on the other hand, are the opposite of motivation. They would like us to stop jumping around, and get them a snack.
Overall, I think this was a pretty successful day. Ready to see what tomorrow holds.

Day One: Mommy's View
Well today was the first day of healthy eating and P90X. I had a ton of things to do today and was nervous about how i would handle eating healthy and being on the go with two kids. I am proud to say I did well:) I started my day with a greek yogurt and an apple (which Kara, my two year old, decided sounded good to her so I lost half of it) and then I headed to town with the kiddos and my MIL. For lunch I did something that has been VERY dangerous for me in the past when I have tried to eat healthy... I ate at a RESTAURANT! Usually this spells complete failure for me, but today I did very well and chose a low calorie chicken dish. I also struggle with drinking enough water (which is why I was in false labor about four weeks ago!). Today I drank five 18 ounce glasses of water! Pretty good if I do say so myself:)
Once we got Kara into bed and Baby Jax fed the clock said 8:45. Time to start day one of P90X. Two minutes in Kara is crying for me. Pause video. Kara back in bed a snuggled in. Start video. Jax crying and spitting out his pacifier. Get him calmed down during water break. Both kids calm and asleep. Then back to workout! :) The workout was hard and I wasn't able to do even one pull up! BUT we made it through! Even with the kids crying! My goal for tomorrow is to drink plenty of water and get my house in order (laundry, cleaning, dusting, bla bla bla). I didn't have time to do all that today because of being out all day, I'm hoping that having things more organized and ready to go around the house will help our evening run smoothly. If nothing else cleaning house will keep me busy enough to not snack all day!
Im so excited for our journey to new, skinnier, healthier, and happier bodies:)
Time to watch Hells Kitchen (thank you DVR)!

Right Bicep: 14.5 in
Left Bicep: 14.5 in
Annalysa
Weight: 223 lbs.
Chest: 46 in.
Waist: 48 in.
Hips: 50 in.
Right Thigh: 23 in.
Left Thigh: 24 in.
Right Bicep: 12 in.
Left Bicep: 11.5 in.
For dinner we cooked Chicken Cordon Bleu, a recipe we found on the website www.biggest-loser-recipes.com
To find the recipe follow this link:
This was a really good dinner, it didn't taste too "diety" if you know what I mean.
Then...Day 1 P90X. Chest and Back, followed by Ab Ripper X.
Let's just say, not the easiest thing I've done. It is a circuit routine, and once you have done all of the exercises once, you get to do them all again. Push ups...about 6 different kinds, and pull ups...4 or 5 different kinds. Throw in a few resistance exercises and call it Chest and Back. I'm not gonna lie, I had to resort to girl push ups to make it. I'm okay with that. At least I made it through.
Ab Ripper X is a totally different story. It was a killer, its only 15 minutes...the longest 15 minutes of my life. Maybe, just maybe I did a fourth of the exercises. In time, I hope to be able to make it through. When the video starts Tony Horton says," Don't say 'I can't do something.' Say 'I currently struggle with..'" Makes sense to me. It gives you something to work towards.
I'm proud to say that day 1 is in the books. Tomorrow is Plyo X. Git-R-Done.
Just a heads up, Annalysa and I will both be posting on this blog. This is a journey that we are both taking together, and we figured that we each need to be able to say our piece.
Time for a shower.

Intro
Never done a blog before, but here it goes. Tomorrow we are starting P90X. We just welcomed our second kid into the world, and it is time for both of us to get in shape. I've done P90X before, I didn't finish it, just started it and kinda gave up. We figured that this blog would give us a little something to keep us accountable. With a 2 year old and baby in the house its not going to be easy, but we are determined to make this work. We are going to eat healthy, not diet. It seems like all of the diets out there are great for a little while and then they just get old, and you fall off of the bandwagon. If P90X is going to get us anywhere, this is going to have to be a lifestyle change, not just a diet. Basically, this blog will be a journal of what we eat, our daily workouts, how we juggled the two kids, and our success along the way.
